What what are these things they're everywhere.
Targarra. A character idea I'm working on. She's a pseudo-neanderthal (her mother was homo sapiens sapien, father homo sapiens neanderthal). She stole a time-travel device and had adventures with other time travelers.
THis was very pleasing to draw.
Working on drawing individuals of a very homogenous(?) alien species.

Redesign the Marvel Universe; Lightening Round

LIGHTENING ROUND
aka I don't have the time or energy to fully encapsulate my ideas, so brief descriptions can be put here.

X-Men
Based off another idea from Barry. I'm just going to steal everything from him. Everything.
Anyways, it's be a Japanese school/college that's actually the continuation of an ancient academy wherin children with great gifts would be taught and raised. Now it accepts students from all over the globe, and is run by Professor Xavier.
Bonus points if Wolverine turns out to have been a samurai who was one of the founding members of the institution.
DOUBLE BONUS POINTS - While the western world's classical elements are Fire, Earth, Water, and Air, the Eastern world's classical elements are Fire, Earth, Water, Air, and Metal.Giving Magneto full elemental control over metal.

Fantastic Four
Three words. Brain-damaged celebrities. Reed would have been hired (by who knows. Dr. Doom, maybe?) to find a way to artificially reproduce the superpower-granting abilities of certain cosmic rays, but it would have backfired. Reed would be autistic, maybe? I can't decide if he would be autistic or a chronic egoist. Johnny obviously would be a narcissist with an explosive, fiery temper. Ben Grimm would be very shelled off, hiding his emotions. Probably grew up in a bad way. And Sue Storm woudl be quiet, shy, and possibly schizophrenic. The idea is that their powers woudl all reflect their mental diseases to the extreme.
So that one needs some working on.

Galactus and his Heralds
My brother has informed me that this is actually in canon, as Galactus isn't really a dude in pink space-armor. He just appears in a form that can be comprehended upon by those who look at him. Which means that he actually is a lovecraftian horror. Eats planets, true form causes all sentient beings to go insane, I am hip with that. Except I'd try to make him far more i'ya i'ya ry'leh wharrgarbl
he comes

Redesigning the Marvel Universe, Spider Man Edition

And now, for something I'll be doing every so often. It's time to

REDESIGN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE

Tonight we'll start by tackling Spider-Man, possibly one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, and possibly the most profitable. My major thoughts for redesigning Spider-Man stem from reading a lot  of manga by Tsutomu Nihei lately.
I like to imagine that this comic is about the Venom Symbiote because then it totally makes sense.
Tsutomu Nihei did such fantastic and utterly mind-blowing manga as Abara, BLAME, NOiSE, and of course, Biomega.
Not, in fact, even in the top twenty weirdest scenes from Biomega. Seriously. Beargun is like...maybe fifty or sixty down the list.
Seriously. Go read this stuff.
But a recurring theme in a lot of his work involves bio-technical armor that grows and adapts like it's own living thing, and lets be frank. I am utterly fascinated by that. To a possibly unhealthy degree, but it's given me the seed of inspiration I needed to start this off right. So, we begin this first edition of Redesign the Marvel Universe with

Spider-Man
Peter Parker is a high school student, and that being said, he could use a lot of help in life. Although he is gifted in intelligence and cleverness, he is lacking in physical prowess as well as the confidence needed to make oneself stand out. That is, until a chance trip to a biotech research lab headed by his popular best friend's rich-ass father (Hey look it's the Goblins!) results in something going awry.
Now, linked to a symbiotic biotech armor that he can summon into action at will, giving him fantastic speed, strength, and agility along with incredibly heightened perceptions and endurance, he must find a way to use his newfound responsibility for good, as well as to stop the production of additional biotech horrors that Osborn intends to sell for war profiteering.

All in all, the concept regarding Spider-Man would be one of biotech. Spider-Man's design himself (which I hope to have sketches of soon) would be recognizable, but very...different. There would be a dark blue meshlike or maybe even fine scale-like texture to the skinsuit, although much of this spandex-like layer would be covered by connected, overlapping plates of red, chitenous armor (the sections and overlap would mimic the spiderweb pattern of the original costume to some degree) with darker, larger plates that provide structural support and additional armoring around the chest and back forming a spider-like insignia.
A big, however, would be in the mask, which would consist of large white eyepieces (transluscent lenses) that enhance his vision, and the helmet-like composition of the facial armor would probably leave maybe some of his hair exposed, and from the front would vaguely resemble a spider's mandibles and palps.
And the biggest difference would be that the armor on his back would gather together, and perhaps actually be able to sprout long, thin spiderlike legs to aid him in movement and all that other fun stuff. The trick would be making it seem like the armor's actually alive, in some aspect. It bares some working on.

And now, for some villains, graciously provided by Barry. HI BARRY.

Rhino is probably one of my favorite Spider-Man villains and I'm not sure why. I just love the big and dumb ones. :| Grr.
Biotech armor for this one, TOTALLY. Except like many of the villains, he'd actually be fused with his armor. Like steroids that happen to grow in heavy, armored plates all over your body. Big, ridiculously big guy, of course. Powerful-looking, the sort of build where you can tell that he could've made it big in football. The armor would be heavily plated and possibly a little medieval-looking, and of course bare a lot of resemblance to a rhino's actual tough skin, in that it'd be leathery and pebbled in texture. Two horns on the head, one jutting forth over the bridge of the nose, and a large one curving up slightly over the head, both used to gore and charge.
I imagine that he'd be able to switch between bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion at will, for easier charging and a more beastly fighting style. All in all, he'd be aggressive, dimwitted, maybe even partially blind if I wanted to be a durrhurr about. But he's good at following directions and knocking things (and people) down and out.

Scorpion is the easy one for the night. Chitenous armor, bigass armor covering his arms. The forearms would actually be encased in this heavy, grasping-claws type of armor so that the hands are exposed on the inside, but on the outside all you see are these huge, spiked, nasty-ass lobster claws. There would be a secondary and possibly even two other sets of thin, armor-based limbs down the sides of his body that could extend and grasp or maybe just stab at will. The more pointy bits, the better, so claws on everything. And then the tail...ah, the tail.
The tail would be insane. It'd be long, powerful, extending, prehensile, and have a large, scythe-like blade on the tip that probably drips venom. Or if I really wanted to make him overpowered, acid. You can pretty much see how this would go.

And then...Vulture.
Jesus. Vulture. What the hell am I supposed to do with you.
:|
What the eff.
You know what? I'll save Vulture for next time. Or, if you're feeling particularly daring, tell me what I should do with Vulture.

In the meantime, you should all go read some Abara and take a nap. You could also make yourselves useful and submit some Redesigned Marvel Heroes/Villains to me in the comments, if you need. You don't even need an account to do so!

Agatha Out.

Harry Potter and the Overactive Story Seeding

Random Story Blot - What if Harry Potter had been evil? Think about it. He and Malfoy would have been best friends. He would be in Slytherin. He woudl have betrayed Dumbledore and slain Voldemort to become the new dark lord. And in a twist of fate, I imagie Neville would have defeated him.

Go Neville.

On to more important things and settings.

Old character, old concept, new life.
Long story short, the Water-Walker is a character in a post-apocalyptic stereotypically desertish wasteland, that's infected with an alien parasite. Perhaps due to luck, or some other circumstances I haven't worked out yet, instead of consuming her brain and turning her into a rage-driven zombie bent on killing all humans (the world was destroyed by aliens, spoiler alert) it instead is nesting inside her chest cavity, having replaced some of her organs. The parasite, due to it's nature, seeks out cold, damp areas and dislikes direct sunlight, heat, and dryness, so it tends to lead her to wells or places where fresh water can be found, thus making her a lifesaver.

Blah blah blah NEXT IDEA.
Nazis riding dinosaurs.
I think that's all that needs to be said about that one.

Uhhh, what else is there.

...

SIGNING OFF.

Gnolls and Beastmen (And Magical Alignments)

Gnolls have always fascinated me. These hyena-hominids are prevalent in fantasy worlds and I rather like them, so I'm going to try to find a spot for them in my own fantasy run.

The Taxonomy of Fantasy Species

Here's the third dreamwriting idea. It's a little longer because I've discussed it with some people already.
The idea was that, in this fantasy world, there were...groups of creatures. A shown here

Humanoids are your standard fantasy PC races. They aren't magical by nature, but can learn to use magic with training and practice. They're common, widespread, and intelligent. Technically, they fall into the category of "Mundane Creatures" with other normal wildlife
Humans
Elves
Dwarves
Gnomes
Orcs

Beastmen are close to Humanoids, and can interbreed with them readily. These are groups of shapeshifters, who often times have a small amount of magical prowess. They can do little specific things, like heal, or manipulate fire. Anything more still times time and learning.
Werewolves
Catfolk
Kitsune

Mythics are relatively common, magically-powered creatures. The more powerful sentient ones are capable of breeding with Humanoids and Beastmen to a limited degree via magic, although their children are always almost completely humanoid or beastmen. They're pro efficient at shape-shifting into humanoid forms to interact. They come in a few basic groups.

Group I are the most common, and often times less magically powerful. They have four limbs, just like mundane creatures.
Harpies/Siryns
Minotaurs
Satyrs
Cyclops
Giant
Goblin
Lizardmen

Group II are uncommon, and quite powerful magically. Many of these creatures are nonsentient wildlife, and some are very intelligent magical beings.
Dragons
Griffons
Pegasus
Hippogryf

Group III are not rare, but hard to find, as they keep their civilizations well-hidden. They are all incapable of breeding with humanoids, being oviparous, and tend to be very secretive.
Naga
Merfolk

Fey are sort of an outlier, as the feyfolk are formed out of pure magic and energy. It's hard to say what they really are, as they come in seemingly endless varieties and are often hard to contact or have a decent conversation with.
Fairies/Pixies
Neirids/Nixies
Sidhe

The Undead are a whole different class altogether.
Ghosts
Zombies
Flesh Golems
Necromancers
Lich

Generally, in the fantasy world, no groups would really get along. Humanoids don't like magical creatures hanging around too much. Mythics tend to be combative and agressive. The Undead are artificially created. Fey just mess everything up.

But the dream was about, as far as I recall, a Dragon woman who had fallen in love with a human prince that had been sent to kill her (Humans hunt dragons for sport, still. Dragons find it inconvenient, but have no real social workings) and he fell back in love with her as well but was betrothed to this princess and blah blah blah you should be able to see where this story was going. It also involved a flying castle, haha. :D

Well, that was some inane rambling.

Dream Writings

I tend to have very interesting, chaotic dreams, but often times they give me some good ideas for brief little story concepts and whatnot. So, here I will share three brief little dream-derived writing ideas. These are free to use if you want. I mean, I'll probably never get around to them. Tell me if you do use them, though!

EDIT: I forgot the third one! I'l touch on it later, since it's longer.

Squiddie Sketches

God damn, I love drawing Squiddies. Something about the organic flow of things like buldges and tentacles mixed with the jagged edges of chiten...I love it.

Some basic body shape sketches. The latter one is kinda older.
An older drawing of a Squiddie and her human boyfriend. I'd say nsfw but I mean...you can't really see anything. Complete with a little poem. And unfinished, but you can sort of see some of her chiten there.
Interspecies sports just don't work. Nobody wants to play against a squiddie.
A close-up of a squiddies face. All those plates are the jointed covers of their mandibles, over the actual mouth. A "Squiddie Grin" is simply the natural alignment of the mandibles at rest, meaning that squiddie are constantly mimicking a human smile, or so it seems.
Mind you, when the mandibles are open, it's goddamn horrifying. The entire lower half of the face splits apart and the coiled tongues are unleashed. OM NOM NOM HRARRRGHLEBARGLE
You don't want to hear about squiddie genitalia. it takes forever to explain and is too complex and too squicky.
The very first drawings of a squiddie, made like...a year and a half ago. You can see where the design's changed and become less "I'm a tentacle alien" and more "KHSSSSTENTACLE EXTRATERRESTRIAL" over time. The face's have changed a lot. Also sorta basically shows the armor.
This is a Hishnar. They're not related to squiddies, and get very insulted if you insinuate they look alike.

Alien Exploration - The Sesshoun

Sesshoun
Sesshoun are considered to be the 'dominant' species on the planet much for the same reason humans are on earth. They're technologically adept, sentient, and found everywhere that can sustain life and some places that don't. Descended from nomadic herd-animals that were descended from tree-dwelling packs of small hummingbird-like creatures, they're quite an interesting species. Standing a good several feet over human average, they have slim, jawless, anteater-like heads, strong raptorlike bodies and legs with powerful arms and four-fingered (two fingers, two thumbs symmetrically) hands, and long, heavy tails that are fanned at the ends.
Their entire body is covered with a coat of pale, downy fur of various texture and thickness depending upon individuals. While females have relatively smooth feathers with short, stiff 'ruffs' along their ears, arms, and legs, males have much longer, more elaborate 'ruffs' that, in mating season, can grow into dazzling, colorful displays of long, stiff feathers. Males often retain other colored patterns through the rest of the year, but only have full, dazzling coloration at the height of mating season. Various color morphs of the species as a whole exist, making them a varied, visually stunning species that can display every color and then some.
Despite their large, strong bodies and sharp claws, they're completely herbivorous liquivores and are very friendly and fiercely loyal by their herd-animal nature.
 Sketches abound!

Some aliens

Heavy alien is heavy.

This is an artblog

My name is Agatha Reitz, and I'd like to think that I'm something of an artist. I enjoy sketching and scribbling and designing things- especially creatures -and generally I'm too ADD to finish anything fully.

I also enjoy writing short stories and descriptions, as well as creepypasta and little ideas that pop into my head. I hope this blog actually amounts to something for those who read it, in the meanwhile.

I have a lovely daughter, Ophelia, a fiance, Christopher, a brother, Blake, and a wonderful mom and dad.

I'm nineteen and live in Wisconsin, at home, with my family. I'm looking into going back to school this summer for a bit, and perhaps improving my job and finances.

That's about all you need to know about me. Have fun.
